Please bear in mind the book is an introduction to the subject of Finance and is influenced by the many conversations I had with academics, as well as social friends and students about banking, financial systems and monetary policy. I had noticed the many different very diverse views on the subject. Finally, my own children, I notice how little school or university teaches them about our financial system which supports or economic system and economic well-being so much. Besides the private views, the general more system relevant views (i.e. crypto-currencies, bubbles, QE, monetary policies, ECB action or non-action, etc) have been my own driver for writing this beginners’ book.
